The Scottish Straight is a cat breed distinguished by its distinct physical traits and looks. The shape and features of their heads are one of the most noticeable variations between Scottish Straights and its near relative, Scottish Folds. Scottish Straights have a more rounded head shape, whilst Scottish Folds have ears that fold forward along the head. This gives Scottish Straights a distinct and elegant appearance that cat fans adore.

Your name will be added to our WAIT LIST after you pay a $250 non-refundable deposit. In the event that kittens become available, you will get first dibs. Choose one of the following kitten traits: fold, short, neither short nor fold, or both short and fold. Transferable between litters is the deposit.

Yes. If for some reason your kitten is not already fixed, you will be responsible for having it fixed at 5 to 6 months old.

To get the nutrition it needs to support a healthy immune system, the kitten must nurse from mama cat for as long as it can. Your cat is also picking up socialization skills from playing with their siblings, as well as grooming techniques, how to use a litter box and scratching post. To make sure the kitten is as healthy as possible, we have a licensed veterinarian perform a thorough exam at 9 weeks old. We also administer the initial round of vaccinations and dewormings at 9 weeks, leaving you with just the second round of vaccinations to administer to your kitten at 12 weeks and your initial visit to the veterinarian. This window of time enables us to fully guarantee that your kitten will arrive healthy and content.

We DNA test each cat in our breeding program to check for genetic disorders. They’re all examined by a genetics lab and found to be clean. Our customers can view DNA results online on the breeders page.

No, your deposit is applied to the following litter, and your name remains on the waiting list. You will be demoted one spot after the second pass and every time after that if you are offered the TYPE of kitten that you are hoping for but must decline.

Cats with long hair require frequent brushing. When necessary, long-haired kilts should take a bath. If you know how, trim the nails, and put on gloves. Before going to the sink, turn on the water. A groomer is another option. Persians may have eye tears that should be cleaned out daily with eye cleaner, water, and a paper towel.

Most of our kittens weigh between 6-7 pounds when they are adults. There’s a chance that some Jackson-bred kittens will be bigger.
